We wanted to share 11 stories of sustainable development happening in our city. These stories are based on the work of Vision Man – Mahesh Dada, who is building a future-ready city for all of us. These stories will help you do better in essay, elocution, and drawing competitions and win attractive prizes.
Let’s start with our Elevanth story:
Industrial-Commercial Hub
Pimpri-Chinchwad, previously known as Industrial Twin-Town has become a prominent industrial and commercial hub in Maharashtra. The city’s development aligns with the concept of sustainable development, which emphasizes meeting the needs of the present without compromising the future. Pimpri-Chinchwad’s growth and development are driven by its strong industrial base, thriving IT sector, and commitment to worker welfare. Multiplexes and malls are flourishing in various parts of the city, reducing the need for residents to travel to Pune for entertainment and shopping. The city’s strategic location and supportive infrastructure have made it an attractive destination for businesses and investors.
IT Sector Growth
The information technology (IT) sector is a major contributor to Pimpri-Chinchwad’s economic growth. The state government’s new IT policy facilitated the establishment of the city’s first IT park at Charholi. Microsoft is establishing data centers in the city and investing approximately 340 crores. The Hinjawadi and Talawade IT parks are thriving.
Industrial Development
The city’s industrial sector is also thriving, with companies in various industries setting up operations. The Talegaon-Chakan industrial park is attracting numerous companies. The AutoCluster at Chinchwad and the state-of-the-art International Industrial Exhibition Center at Moshi further complement the industrial support system.
City of Workers
Due to the presence of Maharashtra’s largest MIDC cluster, Pimpri-Chinchwad is known as the “City of Workers.” Labor unions in Pimpri-Chinchwad play a crucial role in protecting the rights of workers. Mahesh Dada is well-connected with over 18,000 workers from various companies and consistently works for their welfare and the well-being of their families.
We hope you enjoyed that! Now, let’s dive deeper into the Industrial-Commercial Hub projects. I encourage you to check out these news clippings, images, and videos for more information.
