Hello Friends,
My name is Indrajeet, and I am Indrayani. We are from your city, Pimpri Chinchwad. We met Vision Man, Mahesh Dada. Yes, you heard it right, just like Spider-Man and Super-Man, he has special powers. He can see the future and is very optimistic about New India.
We wanted to share 11 stories of sustainable development happening in our city. These stories are based on the work of Vision Man – Mahesh Dada, who is building a future-ready city for all of us. Preserving Tradition, Embracing Modernity
In the bustling city of Pimpri-Chinchwad, there’s a special place for tradition. Even as the city grows and changes, people here hold onto their old ways. Pimpri-Chinchwad is a city that looks to the past while looking towards the future. It’s a place where tradition and modernity come together.
Indrayani Thadi
One of the most important traditions is the “Indrayani Thadi” festival. This festival is a celebration of Maharashtra’s culture and the strength of women. With over 12 to 15 lakh attendees and a platform for more than 1,500 women’s self-help groups, this festival blends business growth with cultural pride.
Festivals
Ganeshotsav and Navratri celebrations hold a special place in the hearts of Pimpri-Chinchwad residents. The tradition of worshiping Ganesh and offering devotion to the goddess during Navratri has been preserved with great reverence. Mahesh Dada helped keep these traditions alive. He even fought to bring back bullock cart racing, a beloved tradition of farmers.
Statue of Hindubhushan
And to honor a great leader named Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, they’re building a huge statue of him. This statue will be a symbol of the pride and courage of the people of Maharashtra. the world’s tallest full-figure statue at 140 feet, the “Statue of Hindubhushan,” is being constructed. This monument will also serve as an information hub about the Maratha Empire, its commanders, and its warriors’ unwavering loyalty to Swarajya. The Shambhusrushti site will become a source of inspiration for generations fostering pride in Shiv Shambhu’s legacy and devotion to God, country, and culture.
