आम्ही पिंपरी-चिंचवडकर : आरोग्य क्षेत्रात आत्मनिर्भर
Hello Friends,
My name is Indrajeet, and I am Indrayani. We are from your city, Pimpri Chinchwad. We met Vision Man, Mahesh Dada. Yes, you heard it right, just like Spider-Man and Super-Man, he has special powers. He can see the future and is very optimistic about New India.
We wanted to share 11 stories of sustainable development happening in our city. These stories are based on the work of Vision Man – Mahesh Dada, who is building a future-ready city for all of us. These stories will help you do better in essay, elocution, and drawing competitions and win attractive prizes.
Let’s start with our Sixth story:
Past Story
When our city was formed in 1982, the population was approximately 300,000. Today, with over 3 million residents, the city continues to expand, necessitating the strengthening of its healthcare infrastructure alongside its basic services. The Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial (YCM) Hospital, operated by the municipal corporation, remains the cornerstone of the city’s healthcare system.
Healthcare Upgradation
Mahesh Dada was well aware of the poor healthcare scenario. After 2014, he and his team made significant efforts to upgrade healthcare facilities. YCM Hospital has increased its capacity to accommodate more patients. Eight new divisional hospitals have been established in Pimpri Jijamata, Akurdi, Thergaon, and Bhosari. Newly started multi-specialty hospitals have reduced the burden on YCM Hospital. A post-graduation college has started at YCM College, which has helped patients receive treatment from expert doctors.
Future Plans
Many new facilities will soon open. A new, large hospital with 650 beds is proposed for Moshi. A cancer hospital, a burn hospital at Thergaon, and mother and child hospitals at Dighi and Bhosari are planned. A new cancer hospital has been approved for Thergaon. A paramedical college and research center have been sanctioned.
Animal Healthcare
Our city’s veterinary clinics have a special IPD (Inpatient Department) for taking care of sick animals. The PCMC health department also vaccinates street dogs to prevent them from infecting people. Our city has a cremation facility for animals. A special dog park demonstrates our city’s commitment to caring for pet animals.
We hope you enjoyed that! Now, let’s dive deeper into Healthcare projects. I encourage you to check out these news clippings, images, and videos for more information.
