We wanted to share 11 stories of sustainable development happening in our city. These stories are based on the work of Vision Man – Mahesh Dada, who is building a future-ready city for all of us. These stories will help you do better in essay, elocution, and drawing competitions and win attractive prizes.
Let’s start with our Ninth story:
A Growing City
Pimpri-Chinchwad is the fifth-largest city in Maharashtra and the 19th largest in India. According to a TOI article from May 5, 2020, Pimpri-Chinchwad ranked as the third-fastest-growing city in the country. In the Bhosari constituency alone, the total number of flats increased from 13,862 in 2014 to 323,921 in 2024, with an average annual growth of 31,000. More and more people wanted to live there because it was a great place to work and play. People from all over the country came to Pimpri-Chinchwad to find jobs and build their homes.
Bhosari Vision 2020
In 2017, Mahesh Dada launched the ambitious “Bhosari Vision 2020” campaign to accelerate the development of the newly included villages within the PCMC limits, including Talwade, Chikhli, Jadhavwadi, Charholi, Dudulgaon, Moshi, Borhadewadi, and Dighi. The city needed to change to keep up with all the new people. They also made sure there were good roads, gardens, enough water and electricity for everyone.
Chikhali-Moshi-Charholi Residential Corridor
With its close proximity to Chakan MIDC, Pune Airport, and connectivity to Hinjawadi and Talawade IT parks, this corridor has become a popular choice for homebuyers. Numerous parks, shopping malls, and multiplexes have contributed to its high quality of life.Due to Maharashtra’s new IT policy, the city’s first IT park will be established in Charholi, with more to follow. This development has further increased the demand for residential property in this area.
We hope you enjoyed that! Now, let’s dive deeper into the Residential Corridor projects. I encourage you to check out these news clippings, images, and videos for more information.
